Three everyday objects, one recognisable voice.
Team gifts usually fail in the same way: a logo on whatever was in stock, worn once and forgotten in a drawer. For the Google Developer team, the brief pointed the other way. The pack had to feel like a kit, pieces chosen because they get used, not because they fit a budget line.
We built it around three objects with very different jobs. A washed cotton cap, softened and broken-in from day one. A towel big enough to carry a full-colour graphic. And socks, the most personal item in any merch box, rendered in Google's primary colours and a playful set of developer icons.
Each piece was developed and produced in Istanbul, then brought together so the set reads as one idea when it is unboxed, not three separate products that happen to share a logo.
Washed cotton cap
A 100% cotton cap, garment-washed for a soft, lived-in feel from the first wear, with the Google mark embroidered.
Towel
A generously sized towel carrying a bold, full-colour print, made to travel from desk to weekend.
Socks
Knitted socks in Google colours with a pattern of developer icons and the "Google for Developers" mark.
